  Cable Car to Tairyuji Temple

  This is the longest cable car (in Japanese, ropeway) in western Japan, with a total length of 2,775 meters and a height difference of 422 meters, connecting Washinosato Station to Tairyuji Station in Anan City. It offers an extensive panoramic view of the Naka River Wajiki Line, the Tsurugi mountain range, Kii Waterway, and Tachibana Bay.

  Cape Kamoda

  Cape Kamoda is the easternmost cape on Shikoku Island, located in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture. The view from the lighthouse is spectacular, and on a clear day, you can see the bridge connecting Shikoku and Awaji Island, as well as Wakayama Prefecture across the Osaka Bay. The nearest beach is famous as a spawning ground for loggerhead turtles. In 2010, a heart-shaped monument featuring waves and wind was installed and has become a popular photo spot.

  Kito Yuzu Citrus

  A large amount of the yuzu citrus fruit is grown in the Kito District of Naka Town where cultivation began 50 years ago. This area boasts the largest production volume in Tokushima Prefecture, and is the top producer in terms of both quantity and quality of shipments. Yuzu used to take 18 years to bear fruit, but thanks to the efforts of the local Kito Fruit Tree Research Association, the trees began to bear fruit in three to five years. Most of the yuzu cultivated in Japan today come from seedlings in this area.
