This is the longest cable car (in Japanese, ropeway) in western Japan, with a total length of 2,775 meters and a height difference of 422 meters, connecting Washinosato Station to Tairyuji Station in Anan City. It offers an extensive panoramic view of the Naka River Wajiki Line, the Tsurugi mountain range, Kii Waterway, and Tachibana Bay.

Tairyuji Temple
Located near the summit of Mt. Tairyuji, 600 meters above sea level, is famous as a place where the 8th century Buddhist priest, Kukai/Kobo-Daishi spent months training here when he was young.

Enjoy Nature All-year-Round
Various alpine plants grow wild on the temple grounds, and visitors can enjoy rhododendrons in spring, hydrangeas in summer, maples in fall, and camellias in winter.

Roadside Station Washinosato
This is a waterfront park along the Naka River. There is also a station to take the cable car, with a 101-passenger capacity, up to Tairyuji.
Place of Ascetic Training
At the inner sanctuary, about 600 meters southwest of the temple grounds, you can see a statue of Daishi worshipping on a rock called Shashingatake.
Main Hall
This building was built in 1852 and the statue of the main deity, Kokuzo Bosatsu, can be seen only on January 12 every year.
