Tebajima Island
This is a small island with a circumference of about 4 km about 15 minutes by small ferry from Mugi Port. This traditional fishing village community has been selected as one of the country's important traditional buildings, and the lighthouse offers a magnificent view. Many subtropical plants grow wild, including the national natural treasure Shiratamamo, as well as Hibiscus and Hamayu. Art exhibitions on the island are very popular. There are no cars on the island, so the islanders love to use handcarts called "cat cars."
