Temple 13 Dainichiji:
Visit Ichinomiya Shrine across the street – the original sacred site.
See a statue of Kannon with large clasped hands that people go to for happiness.
Temple 14 Jōrakuji:
See the unique temple grounds known as “ryusuigan no niwa” (garden of flowing rocks) that is on an outcrop of sedimentary rock.
See a tree by the main hall with a small statue of Daishi in it.
People believed that by boiling the tree leaves and drinking the tea that it would cure diabetes.
Temple 15 Kokubunji:
See the large, dry landscape garden made in the 1600s.
See the foundation stone for the central column of an ancient 7-story pagoda.
See the “god of the toilets.”
See the recently restored main hall.
Temple 16 Kanonji:
See a Jizo statue that people pray to to stop children from crying at night, for children to be cured of illness, and for children to grow up strong and healthy.
See a painting about a woman from one hundred ago who clothes caught on fire as a divine punishment for doing something bad.
