Surfing School: Enjoy the Fun of Riding the Waves! (Beginners Welcome!)
Glare Surf Shop is a surfing shop located in Tokushima City that is close to Komatsu Beach. In addition to selling and repairing surfboards and other surfing-related goods, our shop offers a surfing school. We conduct about 500 lessons each year, and the majority of participants are able to take off and enjoy surfing on the first day! Instructor Fukuda, Tokushima's first JPSA (Japan Pro Surfing Association) certified pro longboarder, gives careful lessons that, more than anything, are fun. This school is recommended for those who want to get into surfing or try a new hobby. You don't need to prepare anything, so come and enjoy us for a fun and lighthearted surfing experience! Friends, families, and solo learners are all welcome. ♪ [Surfing Points] Komatsu Beach Surfers of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced surfers, all the way to pros, can enjoy surfing at this beach. Located just off of the Tokushima Interchange, it is a popular spot for both those living in Tokushima, and those from other prefectures. The beach is also only a 1 minute walk from Glare Surf Shop. [Meeting Place] Glare Surf Shop Our facilities include a shower room, changing room, lockers, and a restroom, so there is no need to worry. Additionally, our shop also has a café attached to it, which is a popular resting spot for surfers. After riding some waves, take a break with a hot cup of coffee. We will take you to the best locations among the Konaruto Strait, the Naruto Strait, or the Horikoshi Strait depending on the weather and sea conditions. At the Konaruto Strait, you will slowly move through the channel and circle around Takashima Island. At the Naruto Strait, you can feel the strong currents of the whirlpools! Special Shikoku Pilgrimage and Indigo Dyeing Tour
This two-day tour contains a myriad of unique experiences, such as visiting a portion of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, staying at a temple and experiencing religious services, learning about Tokushima's indigo industry, and seeing Tokushima's famous Awa Odori dance. ◎On Day 1 you will walk a portion of the Shikoku Pilgrimage by foot. Together with a knowledgeable guide, you will walk from Temple No.1 Ryozenji to Temple No.4. Dainichiji. That evening you will stay at Temple No.6 Anrakuji, where there is a hot spring, and take part in the evening service.
