【About Fruits Garden Yamagata】
Strawberries grown with care given to each small fruit.
Large and ripe Japanese pears that are safe and deliciously sweet.
Here at Yamagata, we put love and care into growing each and every one of our fruits.

Our farm also houses a direct sales shop that sells fresh fruits and processed goods made with fruits, as well as the FGY Café that opened in April. Enjoy authentic sweets produced by our farm, which was established back in 1923.

【About Strawberry Picking 🍓】
Strawberry picking is available each year from January to June.
Enjoy the special taste of freshly picked strawberries, only available directly from the farm!

Uzushio Berries:
An original fertilizer blend of natural seaweed extract and clam shells taken from the Naruto Sea is used.
In addition, bonito extract and calcium organic acid fertilizer are applied to the leaves to create a perfect balance of sweetness, acidity and flavor resulting in Fruits Garden Yamagata's original strawberry brand.

Strawberry Picking Time: 1 Hour
Time Period: Early January - Early June
Entrance Times: 10:00 - 16:00 (Last Entrance at 15:00)

【※ Pets Points of Caution】
① Pets must be in a cart or carrier while in the strawberry house. (Carts are available for rent, so please do inquire.)

② Large-sized dogs are not allowed in the strawberry house and must be leashed in the designated area.

③ In order to prevent your dog from peeing in the strawberry house, please have them pee prior to the strawberry picking. (Peeing in the strawberry house is strictly prohibited!)

④ Pets are not allowed to directly eat from the strawberry plants.

⑤ Please do not block the paths with the pet carts.

⑥ Please properly brush your pet/have them wear clothes in order to prevent their fur from flying around.

⑦ There is no strawberry house exclusively for dogs, so please be considerate of others who may not be good with dogs/animals.

Requirements

Please only pick as many strawberries as you can eat.
A separate fee is required if you wish to take any leftover strawberries home.
Strawberries are also available for purchase at the direct sales shop. (There are times when they may be sold out.)
Please refrain from talking in a loud voice or being rambunctious in the strawberry house.
Do not run or pass through the strawberry beds.
The house is regularly ventilated, so temperatures will differ. Please dress appropriately.
Bees can be found in the house for pollination. As long as you don't chase or startle them, they will leave you alone.
Smoking is prohibited in the house. Please smoke at the designated area.
