Tsurugi Town, located in the western part of Tokushima Prefecture, is a small mountain town with a close view of the Yoshinogawa River running east to west across Shikoku and Mount Tsurugi, the second highest peak in western Japan. Taking advantage of the mountainous terrain with little flat land, people have long nurtured a unique lifestyle and culture. In the center of the town, visitors can see many old Japanese houses. Orimetei Yuukai is a renovated 100-year-old merchant's house in in the town of Tsurugi.

There are three guest rooms in total. All rooms face the direction of Mt. Tsurugi, offering a close view of the magnificent nature and the old-fashioned way of life that makes the most of the steep slope. In the morning, you can enjoy the mountain greenery shining in the sunlight, and at night you can enjoy the light of life on the slope and the star-filled sky. The rooms are modern Japanese-style rooms with spacious beds and tatami mats. These rooms have been carefully designed with attention to detail so that everyone can spend a comfortable stay. In addition to lodging, there is a cafeteria where you can taste Tsurugi's specialty, Handa Somen, and a tatami room space that anyone can use. Smoking is not permitted inside the building (smoking areas are located outside).
