Indigo Dyeing (Kids Size T-shirt)

The town of Kamiita is the number one producer of "sukumo", a raw material needed for indigo dye, in Japan. At the Waza no Yakata, visitors can try indigo dyeing via a natural lye fermentation method.

Kids size T-shirts are available in the following sizes: 100・110・120・130・140 cm. For families, we recommend pairing this plan with the "Adult Size T-shirt Plan" so you can have matching shirts for a family photo. ♪

Using a variety of tools, we will apply the pattern to the fabric. After the pattern is set, it's time to start the actual dyeing process! ♪

First-time indigo dyers are welcome! The instructor will carefully teach you how to apply the pattern and dye the fabric.
