【tonaru SETO】Awa Odori Dance
tonaru SETO: Opened in June 2024! A new tourism hub has been established in Naruto, making use of the former Seto Elementary School/Preschool created by the architect Tomoya Masuda! The gym has been renovated into the Awa Odori Hall, complete with a special circular stage. In addition to an Awa Odori performance, guests can try their hand at raft fishing on the beautiful Uchinomi Sea, relax at the café space, and all-around get their fill of the culture, nature, and cuisine that tonaru has to offer. ～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～ tonaru Awa Odori Enjoy a performance where the audience and dancers become one in a sense of unity only possible through the Awa Odori. In the center of the hall lies a completely original circular stage, and with a curtain suspended from the ceiling wrapping around the audience, a truly unique atmosphere is created. Enjoy brilliant and authentic performances by famous dance troupes, an experience you can only enjoy here. Open: December ~ February: Sundays & Holidays (Closed for the Year End/Beginning Holidays) March: Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays (Closed the 16th & 20th) Times: ① 11:00 – 12:00, ② 13:30 – 14:30 (2 Performances per Day) ※The hall opens 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Guests will move from tonaru SETO via ferry to one of the fishing rafts floating on the Uchinomi Sea. An instructor will give tips on fishing, with guests being able to enjoy filleting their catch afterwards. A complete set of fishing tools will be provided. Available Days: Weekends, Holidays, During the Obon Holidays Times: ① 8:30 – 12:30, ② 13:00 – 17:00 (2 Times per Day) Fees: Adults: 9,900 Yen Children 6 - 12: 6,600 Yen Children 0 - 5: Free Maximum Number of Spots: 12 (Minimum of 2 Adults) *Fishing rafts will be shared if there are other applicants. *Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance. [Points of Caution] ♢ The fishing activity may be cancelled in the case of poor weather. You will be contacted by the afternoon of the prior day in the case of cancellation. ♢ As this activity takes place outdoors, participants should be prepared for unexpected circumstances. → Participants may get wet, so please bring a change of clothes. → The fishing rods that are used have a hook and are a long-style. They can be dangerous when used improperly, so please listen to the instructor’s explanation carefully and enjoy a safe and fun time. → Policy protection, etc. Instructors will explain the points of caution in advance and be on watch during the activity, however, any accidents or injuries are the responsibility of the participant. Participants will have insurance, but any accidents/injuries that exceed the scope of the insurance policy must be paid for by the participant. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
